Thanks for visiting my
page. My name is Carole and I have been on Ebay
since 1998. My husband,
Mike and I have known each other for over 20 years
and have been
married for 11 years. He is the love of my life and my best
friend. We have 5 children and one adorable "grand-darling."
My first experiences with
EBay were with the "Beanie-Baby" craze. That
was a
lot of fun (and work!). Shortly after our youngest son was born,
we
started
homeschooling our middle daughter. Our son Matt was soon
included. At that
point, I became mostly a homeschool buyer.
We soon found that
homeschooling could be an expensive endeavor for
a
single income family. After realizing how difficult it can be for
families to afford
quality educational products, I began reselling our
homeschool materials on Ebay
once we were finished using them.
My husband came up
with
my EBay ID; he's such a comedian! Of course,
it's pronounced, "homeschoolmom" but Mike said he thought it would be
"cute" if it
were spelled phonetically as a child would. Being from
W.V. and a redneck at
heart, I figured it was the easiest way for HIM
to remember it!
Since then, our children
have returned to public school. Homeschooling them
full time has been reduced to evenings but I
continue to sell mostly educational
materials, both new and used to
homeschool families as well as those who are
looking to increase their child's home reading library.
You can trust what you
find in my store to be in good condition. I
check each book
very carefully for any defects and note them in my
auctions. I never sell unusable
or unacceptable books. If my child couldn't, wouldn't or shouldn't use
it, I don't
expect you will want your child to use it either.

Understanding
the Item Conditions
I
describe
items, sometimes with a "fine tooth comb", meaning I am fairly picky.
The conditions listed below are general, please read the
description of the particular item in the listing itself, as this is
where you will find a more detailed description of its condition.
Because some of the books I list are second hand, I can not say
whether a used book (or any item listed) is from a "smoke / pet free
environment." However, when books / items are purchased they are
closely
inspected for any damage and carefully cleaned before they are added to
inventory to be listed on Ebay. In our own home, we do have a cat
as well as a dog. However, all inventory is stored in numerous
containers with lids and kept in a separate room of our home that
houses nothing but EBay inventory and is never
accessible to our pets.
Having said that,
below
are the most common condition terms that I use to describe items:
New.
This is as it states, a new - unused item. Sometimes the book may have
an "overstock"
mark which is a small line on the bottom of the text block.
This will be noted in the description if it is present.
Excellent. No
significant wear found. The book was previously owned but is sort of
"normal perfect." The book has been very well cared for by its previous
owner. Any wear will be minimal; no writing or highlights;
no rips or tears.
Very Good.
Minor wear, no rips or tears. Very nice copy.
Might have one or two very small flaws such as previous owners name
written on the inside front cover. There may be a bit of rubbing on the
jacket and / or light shelf wear. But nothing that would be
considered excessive. There maybe foxing on the inside covers.
Any notable
marks will be specified in the listing.
Good. A
nice solid reading copy. This is what you would normally expect in a
second-hand
book. Might have a few defects, but certainly nothing severe. Some
shelf and / or cover wear is to be expected. Pages will be clean but
may
have bent or "dog eared" corners. The book may have foxing on the
inside covers and some foxing on pages edges. Any imperfections will be
specified in the listing.
Fair
Likely has quite a few
defects, tears, damp stains or weak binding etc. But it is complete.
Good
for a couple more good reads before it's done. Normally, I do not
list any books that are only "Fair." But on occassion a book might be
well worth the reading or owning even if it's not in great
condition. Some older or antique books may have significant wear
but are just too "treasured" to dispose of!
Retired Library
copy.
This is just as it states, a book that has been retired from either a
public, church or school library. These books will have typical library
markings, such as library ownership stamp on
inside cover, perhaps a card pocket on the inside cover. Most of these
will be hardback books. Listing will state whether the book has a dust
jacket or not as well as any signs of wear.
Please note that I
will NOT sell grossly damaged
or unusable books; (see "Fair" exception) If I wouldn't let my
own children use it, I won't sell it to you either! This goes for
clothing and other items as well!
Informational....
Book parts
In effort to be most
accurate in book descriptions,
these are the terms
that I sometimes use when
discussing book
parts.
For example if the book
is an
Retired Library book, the description may state,
"card pocket on inside board or cover,
shelf wear on tail, tight spine, or library stamp on fore edge of the
text block."

Acceptable
Methods of Payment
Paypal is my preferred
method of payment. This allows me to ship your purchase almost
immediately. In many cases, items paid through Paypal are shipped the
same day!
I accept only U.S.
currency.
Money Order and Cashiers
Checks are also accepted. When sending a money order, please
remember
to
keep your half of the receipt and to fill in the information required
on the front of the money order.
Personal
Checks are no longer accepted and will be returned.
If you will
be mailing your payment instead of using Paypal, PLEASE
email me and let me know otherwise it will appear that you are ignoring
the invoice sent. Remember, the secret to a successful transaction
starts with communication between the buyer and seller.
Please complete
your payment within 7days of the purchase. If payment has not been
received by the 7th day, I will have no choice but to file Non-Paying
Bidder and relist the item. I understand that situations can arise, if
this is the case, just send me an email and let me know that you
have been delayed and need more time. I am easy to work with when I am
given the opportunity to work with you. Again, simple comminucation can
go a long ways in averting problems.

Shipping Options
Unless
otherwise requested by the customer, our standard method
of shipping is USPS Media
Mail for books, music
CD's, and software. For items that do not qualify Media Mail, I will
normally add an EBay shipping calculator to the listing allowing the
customer to decide whether they prefer
Parcel Post or Priority Mail.
Insurance is
an available option to all buyers, and highly recommended, for an
additional $1.65
per $50
value.

Shipping
& Delivery Time
- If you are
using Paypal
as your method of payment, your items will
normally be shipped within 24 hours of receipt of payment. If
payment
is received after 12 noon on Friday (EST), your item will be shipped on
Monday.
- Buyers
who choose to use Money Order or Cashiers
Checks; I will email you when the payment arrives and ship your
purchase
will be shipped within 24 of receipt of payment or in most cases, the
same day payment is received.
It is my understanding
from
the US Postal service that:
- Media/Book
Rate mail normally takes 5-10
days. But I have found it seldom takes
as long as they say it does. It has been my experience that some
sellers do not ship as quickly as they state leaving the customer to
believe that Media Mail is "extremely slow. " I am committed to
shipping promptly.
- Priority
Mail takes 2-3 days, though US
Postal Service will "not guarantee" the
time of delivery.

Rerun Books 4 Kids guarantees the condition of
every item
to be as it is described. If you are
dissatisfied
with an item when it arrives, please email me immediately upon
receipt and give me the opportunity to fix the issue
before leaving feedback.
If your purchase is not as it was described I will ask
you to return your purchase (at our expense, of course), postmarked
within 2 days of our email
contact for a full
refund of the purchase price. I
will refund the all
shipping costs only
if the return was a
result of an error in my
description.
All
Returns:
- Please
email me before
returning book(s).
- Include
the packing slip and indicate the reason for return for quickest
processing.
- I will notify you
via
e-mail that I have received the return and will process your
refund.
- You
can expect a refund in the same form of payment originally used for
your
purchase within 5 business days from our receipt of your return.
- You
may also request that the refunded amount be credited toward another
purchase.
Our
Privacy Policy
I never
sell or
share information about my customers with any third party.
Information
gathered from your purchase is used soley for the purpose of completing
your purchase. Your address will be
used for no other purpose
but to ship your purchase to you.
